Do you want to know how old your oak tree is without having to cut it down?
When you use a boring bar, you are able to take a sample from the trees core. Once you have this core piece, you can count the rings and tell how old the tree is!
A great way to take a rough estimate of the tree's age is by looking nearby for a fallen tree that is of the same type and width. Chances are, they sprouted around the same time, give or take a few years.
